Government
Market Quick to Adopt VoIP and IP VPN Technology
DUBLIN, Ireland - Research
and Markets http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c44053)
has announced the addition of In-Sights: Government Adoption of
VoIP, IP VPN, and Converged Solutions to their offering.
Businesses are increasingly well aware of the wide array of IP
voice solutions available to meet their business needs. This has
resulted in strong adoption among US business overall (33%), with
slightly higher than average adoption among the Government market
segment. This segment is slightly above the national average in
adoption of IP VPN.
To date, the Government market segment has been one of the strongest
industries in converging voice, data, and video capabilities, trailing
only the Finance sector. Government IT managers are also more inclined
to increasingly converge network capabilities in the next 18 months
than their counterparts in other industries.
In our estimation, these findings reflect an acceptance of IP
telephony and connectivity as a secure and cost saving alternative
to legacy services. Government IT managers are most optimistic
that technologies have advanced to a point where they can fundamentally
readdress network needs and solutions.
