Paris, le 8 février 2007- Le premier contrat, entre la Caisse d'Epargne espagnole Caixanova et IBM, concerne des services informatiques pour prévenir la perte de données en cas d'interruptions de services et optimiser les coûts de gestion de l'infrastructure informatique centrale. En cas d’incidents, les opérations de la banque seront hébergées de manière continue sur un site miroir d’IBM, où les données de Caixanova sont sauvegardées en temps réel. Ce contrat d'un montant de 70 millions d’euros porte sur une durée de 10 ans.
Le second contrat a été signé entre la société danoise VP Securities Services et IBM pour 5 ans. IBM sera en charge de la gestion et du développement de l’infrastructure du système informatique central de VP, premier fournisseur de services de sécurité dans le domaine financier pour les marchés danois et scandinaves.
Le dernier contrat, entre la banque autrichienne Oberbank et IBM, associé à i-flex, s'inscrit dans la stratégie de développement international d'Oberbank qui a choisi d'utiliser des serveurs IBM System p 570 hébergeant la solution FLEXCUBE pour ses opérations bancaires critiques en Hongrie.

Caixanova seeks to optimise performance and improve customer service, with IBM
Paris, le 8 février 2007 - Caixanova and IBM (NYSE:IBM) today announced details of a 10-year, 70 million euro information technology services agreement that will optimise the savings bank’s IT platform and prevent data loss in the event of possible interruptions.
With this €70 million contract, Caixanova aims to:
• Improve service quality, beginning with a technology upgrade
• Reduce and control IT platform management costs over the duration of the contract. Caixanova estimates these savings will be around 30%
• Focus Caixanova’s IT human resources in more value added activities
• Boost innovation by accessing best technologies and practices
• Respond quicker to market shifts using a flexible technological infrastructure
IBM will manage the savings bank's central IT infrastructure and provide business continuity and backup recovery services to protect Caixanova’s business from possible data loss or system outages. In the event of an incident affecting Caixanova’s central IT infrastructure, the bank's operations will be continued seamlessly from an alternative IBM site. Back-up copies of Caixanova’s data are saved in real time to prevent data loss.
The agreement strengthens the existing relationship between Caixanova and IBM. For several years, IBM has maintained the bank's technology infrastructure. This includes more than 3,600 workstations (PCs and financial printers), more than 400 automatic teller machines and 17,000 dataphones.

VP Securities Services and IBM in 5-year services agreement
Paris, le 8 février 2007 - IBM (NYSE:IBM) and VP Securities Services, the Danish Central Securities Depository, today announced a 5-year services contract for IBM to manage the operations and further development of the infrastructure of VP’s central IT-system.
VP Securities Services is a preferred supplier of financial securities services for the Danish and Nordic markets. All Danish listed securities are issued through VP and held electronically, Transactions in listed shares, bonds and investment fund units are also settled via VP.
The securities market in Denmark has seen increasing activity in recent years, and the number of transactions recorded by VP has doubled since 2002, to 12,5 million in 2006. At the same time cross-border activities have grown considerably, along with demands for continuous availability. IBM's management of VP's infrastructure will utilize the latest in security and encryption technologies providing VP with high availability and protection from possible interruptions.
"The agreement with IBM will enable us to scale up for growth and internationalisation by providing us with flexible and scalable solutions", says CEO Johannes Luef, VP.
With billions of DKK worth of securities handled on a daily basis, reliability and stability are vital to VP. Enhanced security measures are part of the agreement.

Paris, le 8 février 2007 - IBM (NYSE:IBM) and i-flex® solutions today announced that Oberbank, an Austrian bank focused on international expansion and a member of the “3 Banken Gruppe” (3 banks group), has selected IBM’s System p running i-flex’s flagship product, FLEXCUBE, for its core banking operations in Hungary. The technology will support Oberbanks’s globalization efforts in Hungary.
Oberbank is currently transforming from a regional to a multinational bank to benefit from the economic opportunities that are emerging in Eastern Europe. In an effort to gain flexibility, agility and improve customer service Oberbank is moving away from its previous banking application in Eastern Europe, to FLEXCUBE, an IBM Business Partner, and the world’s leading provider of technology solutions to the global financial services industry.
FLEXCUBE will become the core banking solution for both commercial and personal accounts at several new branches opening in Hungary in the next 12 months. One of several advantages of the new application is real-time updates of deposit and withdrawal data at ATM's, which will improve customer service. FLEXCUBE also provides reduced total cost of ownership, fast deployment time for new products and sales channel strategies, as well as high flexibility and scalability. The functional blocks of FLEXCUBE are based on the concept of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) allowing easy integration with legacy systems.
IBM Global Technology Services and IBM Global Business Services will install FLEXCUBE on an IBM System p570.
Once the project is completed and baring the decision of local branches, IBM will have the opportunity to implement the infrastructure in other countries – reusing the same assets and skills. The first branch is expected to be ready for business in April 2007.
