ANTs QuickStart Program Cuts Database Startup Costs Limited Time Offer Promises Long-Term Savings

LINUXWORLD, SAN FRANCISCO, CA, August 9, 2005 - ANTs software, inc. (OTCBB:ANTS), a developer of high-performance SQL database management systems, today announced the launch of its QuickStart program, a limited-time promotional offer that can dramatically reduce database startup costs and generate long-term savings. The ANTs QuickStart program includes a full production version of the ANTs Data Server Enterprise Edition, full support and product updates and upgrades for an introductory price of just $1,995 per server per year, and offers the option of having ANTs convert any existing Oracle, TimesTen, Sybase or Microsoft database application within two weeks.

By moving applications to the ANTs Data Server, facilitated by ANTs universal compatibility, organizations can cut their ongoing operational costs from 50 to 75 percent compared to traditional relational databases, and from 35 to 50 percent compared to open source databases, through the use of fewer, lower-cost servers with dramatically reduced license fees and administrative costs. At the same time, the ANTs Data Server is twice as fast as in-memory databases such as those from Oracle-TimesTen, and five to 15 times faster than traditional databases.
