MCI Signs Five-Year Global Managed Networking
Services Contract with ABN AMRO Worth EUR 500 Million
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands and ASHBURN, Virginia, December
14 - 2005 - MCI (Nasdaq: MCIP) today announced that it
has signed a five-year global network integration agreement
with
ABN AMRO to manage their global data network and firewall
platforms. The value of the contract is EUR 500 million
(approximately US$550 million) over five years.
The scope of the agreement includes wide-area network,
local-area network and security services connecting more
than 6,000 ABN AMRO locations in 25 countries, and 200-plus
regional network providers. Under the terms of the agreement
- MCI will assume overall management and delivery responsibility
for ABN AMRO's global networking services.

MCI will utilize its Global Service Operations team
to manage all aspects of ABN AMRO's service and supply
chain around the globe and deliver managed network and
managed security services. MCI's award-winning network
management platform IMPACT will be at the heart of the
managed services.
